Debt Restructuring and Loan Modification FAQ
Q. Why shouldn’t I just negotiate with my lender and/or credit card companies on my own?
A. The best reason first. You are way more likely to get a fair deal if you let us represent you. We’ve worked with all the major banks and their loss mitigation departments. You also need a firm that can review your situation and that really understands how the government's stimulus guidelines work, and how you can fully leverage your position in the market to get absolutely the best deal possible.
Q: Is the Service guaranteed?
A. Before we accept your case, we will review your situation and tell you if we are likely to be successful. We are more than 90% successful, but if we don’t put you in a better situation than you are currently, we will refund our fees.
Q. If I negotiate a settlement, will you review the loan modification for me?
A. Yes, for $495.00 we will do a forensic study of your originating loan, and take a look at your loan modification offer. After we do the review, if you ask us to take over negotiations with the lender or credit card company, it will end up being a little more expensive than if we handled it from the beginning.
Q. How will a loan modification benefit me exactly?
A. The possible results will vary, depending on your type of loan, your hardship and the bank. Typically your payments will be reduced, which may include a reduction in your principal and possibly even your interest rate. The type of interest rate may also change so you are not put in this position again!
Q. I have not called my lender yet, but I’m getting tons of letters about loan modification that seem to know something about my situation. Should I call them first?
A. There are unfortunately lots of scams out there, ready to take advantage of people in situations like yours. We recommend not working with any company that sends you a direct mail piece that is designed to look “official”. Most of these companies are far from reputable.
